About the Artist

Rosette Weisel was born in France, raised in America and emigrated to Israel with her husband and two children 19 years ago.  They now have six sons ages 7 through 25 and are members of Kibbutz Saad in the northern Negev.  She studied at the school of Fine Arts at UCLA.

Rosette has been a graphic artist for 30 years and has designed and written illuminated Hebrew manuscripts, ketubot and family trees.  Many of her ketubot are created with the expanse of large sweeping Hebrew letters.  Her work portrays a spiritual symbolism connecting the letters and names of the couple being married.
